A business plan is a document. It is people who write the document, it is people who work with the document, it is people who are affected, directly or indirectly, by this document. The document is two dimensional, people are not. <BR/><BR/>Maybe one thing missing in so many business plans is a careful consideration of people. Not as statistics, not as consumers, not as partners, but as peoples.<BR/><BR/>Do business plan creators really understand the identities of their closest partners? And their own identities? Do they really understand why they do certain things or achieve certain outcomes? Can they differentiate between the emotional aspects (values, beliefs, emotions, memories and experiences) and the intellectual aspects, or worldview, one's education, the way people take and process information)?<BR/><BR/>Everybody has these and they need to be clearly understood. One's "self awareness" or the lack of it can be a barrier to oneself but also hinder other people interacting effectively with oneself.
